Turnout only 11 percent in recent election

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Stoddard County Clerk Joe Watson reported that 2,256 people voted in the April 8 Municipal Election, which represents only 11 percent of the total registered voters in the county. The cost of the election was approximately $25,000, which means the election cost $11.08 per voter.
